To start your first practice session, navigate to the "Practice" section in the sidebar. You can choose between different modules like Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening. Once you select a module, you can pick specific question types to begin. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet environment for the best experience.
Practice sessions allow you to work on specific question types without time pressure, helping you build skills gradually. Mock tests simulate the actual exam experience with timed sections and official scoring. We recommend starting with practice sessions to build confidence, then taking mock tests to assess your readiness.
Your progress is automatically tracked in the dashboard. You can view detailed analytics for each section, including scores, time spent, and improvement trends. The statistics page shows your overall performance and highlights areas that need more focus. You can also download progress reports for detailed analysis.
Yes, you can reset your progress from the settings page. However, this will permanently delete all your practice history and scores. We recommend keeping your progress history to track improvement over time. If you need a fresh start for specific sections, contact support for targeted reset options.
Yes, our full mock tests are designed to simulate the actual exam environment, including timing constraints for each section. The Speaking section gives you 77-93 minutes, Writing 40-60 minutes, Reading 29-30 minutes, and Listening 30-43 minutes, just like the real PTE Academic exam.
Our AI Speaking scoring engine analyzes your pronunciation, fluency, content, and oral fluency based on official PTE scoring criteria. It evaluates your speech against native speaker models and provides detailed feedback on pronunciation accuracy, speaking speed, rhythm, and content relevance. The scoring algorithm is calibrated to match official PTE standards.
The PTE Academic is scored on a scale of 10-90, but there's no "passing" score. Different institutions have different requirements. Generally, universities require 50-65 for undergraduate programs and 65-79 for postgraduate programs. Some courses may require higher scores. Check with your target institutions for specific requirements.
We recommend taking at least 3-5 full mock tests before your actual exam. Start with one diagnostic test to identify your baseline, then take 2-3 practice tests to work on weak areas, and finish with 1-2 final mock tests in exam conditions. Space them out to allow time for improvement between tests.
Yes, you can pause practice sessions at any time and resume later. Your progress will be saved automatically. However, for mock tests, we recommend completing them in one sitting to simulate real exam conditions. Paused sessions can be resumed from the dashboard within 7 days.
For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. These browsers provide optimal support for our AI tools, audio recording features, and real-time scoring. Safari and Firefox work but may have limited functionality for speaking tasks.
Microphone issues are usually related to browser permissions. Ensure you've allowed microphone access when prompted, check that your microphone is not muted in system settings, and try refreshing the page. If issues persist, try using a different browser or an external microphone. Chrome generally provides the best microphone support.
A stable internet connection is recommended for the best experience, especially for speaking and listening tasks. If your connection is unstable, focus on reading and writing practice first. You can also download practice materials for offline use. For mock tests, ensure a stable connection to avoid interruptions.
